Our home assistance program provides for independent living in your own home. This is the choice of some seniors and staying independent at home may require several adjustments to the residence. Seniors can be relatively independent but may still need assistance with their daily activities such as meals, dressing, bathing, help with medication, and transportation.
Other types of daily living activities, not necessarily fundamental, but related to independent functioning are.
- Cooking and preparing meals
- Cleaning and maintaining the home
- Shopping and buying necessities
- Running errands
- Managing money and paying bills
- Speaking or communicating on the phone or through other services
- Taking prescribed medications
It’s important to the overall well-being of the elderly that caregivers are trained to the highest standards. Our team of experienced professionals will provide care for all clients with a focus on individual needs. Our professionals are sensitive in maintaining the dignity of the elderly. If challenges arise, team members have access to a variety of support mechanisms.
The physical environment can also foster or jeopardize the health and safety of the elderly. Given the projections for the aging population by 2030 and our busy schedule, more attention must be paid to the improvement of the physical and social environment, mental state of mind, and the changes in mobility to meet the needs of the elderly. Within our day-to-day life, it is becoming more difficult to maintain and care for the elderly. At Vision Care Agency our homecare program is designed to allow the elderly to live in an environment based on their social needs given their health circumstances.  Our objectives are to create small groups which will allow caregivers to pay closer attention to the elderly needs. All meals, sanitary care, recreation, basic health needs, and regular doctor in-house visits will be covered by this program.
Special Medical Care will not be covered by this program. There will be a charge for this level of care at a rate given by the specialist.
